FAQ

Q: Who are my photo tours designed for?
A: They are designed for everyone who has some interest in fresh look of Moscow, regardless of the photo equipment you have, your skills, age and whether or not it is your first visit to our lively city. You will save valuable time (usually lost in the city!) because I will show you the right places. Of course, history & geography will also make part of the package.

Q: What kind of equipment do I need?
A: You can bring any photo equipment, if it fits your bag. (Even a smartphone with an advanced camera will do – you will be surprised what it can actually do). Just remember that we will walk for several hours, thus use your common sense regarding the weight you'll carry. For night photography, a tripod is rather critical (although I’ll show you some tricks for shooting without one).

Q: Can my non-photographer companion come along?
A: Yes, of course. The good news is that your non-photographer companion won't pay any fee and will be welcome as well. All the tours will be a pleasant walk through the city, stopping to enjoy the view, having a drink or using the toilet. During the whole time, we will chat about the city, meaning nobody will get bored!

Q: What can I expect from the workshop?
A: You can expect to learn about the basics of photography, so that you will control the camera and not the other way around! If I have a workshop booking, that day's tour will be only for workshop participants. Half a day is also possible, if you don't have enough time, but a full day workshop will be much more productive.

Q: What if it rains?
A: Well, should this be the case, we'll have to improvise. Showers are one thing, heavy rain is another thing, so it depends. Keep in mind that we'll be doing street photo tours, so we might have to cancel the tour and reschedule.

Q: What are your rates?

A: Every tour is tailored to your preferences, thus we should set the package and then arrive to a final price. But let me assure you that it's perfectly sensible and affordable to every tourist.

Q: How and when do I pay for the tour?
You can pay in cash at the end of a photo tour.

Q: What is included in the fee?
A: The fee includes my time as a tour leader, showing you the best route, my knowledge about Moscow – history, geography, people, things to do around, etc. - and some photography suggestions for sure. I am a professional photographer, you can always count on some hints to improve your performance.

Q: What is excluded from the fee?

A: Public transportation and museum tickets, drinks, meals and snacks are not included. You are also responsible for your own medical and travel insurance, so please take care of your safety before leaving home.
